Now the mercury has started scorching in Bihar. The heat has made the condition of people miserable. The Meteorological Department has predicted a temperature of more than 40 degrees in 26 districts of the state on Sunday. The weather will increase by one to three degrees within the next 24 to 48 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for this and has issued instructions to the people to protect themselves from the scorching heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather of the state remained hot and dry during the last 24 hours. Hot day was recorded in Motihari and in Purnia, Supaul, Darbhanga, Sheikhpura and Khagaria. Maximum temperatures of more than 40 degrees Celsius were recorded in 26 areas of the state.

Sheikhpura is the hottest district in the last 24 hours

According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours the maximum temperature was 43.9 degrees Celsius in Sheikhpura and the minimum temperature was 20.1 degrees Celsius in Agwanpur in Saharsa. The flow of westerly and north-westerly winds still continues. Also a cyclonic circulation is situated in and around North East Assam. Another cyclonic circulation has formed in South Chhattisgarh. There is forecast of light rain with thunderstorm in Araria and Kishanganj of the state during the next 24 hours. Whereas the weather in the remaining parts of the state is likely to remain hot and dry. Hot day is predicted in Aurangabad, Khagaria, Jamui, Sheikhpura, Motihari and Darbhanga. A drop of one to three degrees Celsius may be seen in the state’s maximum temperature during 24 hours. An increase of two to four degrees Celsius is expected in the next 48 hours. As a result, hot day heat conditions can be seen in some places in the southern, north central and northwestern parts of the state from April 28 to May 1.

The temperature in these districts can go up to 42 degrees

According to meteorologists, the maximum temperature is expected to be 40 to 42 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 24 to 26 degrees in the districts of North Western part of West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, East Champaran, Gopalganj on Sunday. Along with this, the maximum temperature of Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal in the north-west part is expected to be 40 to 42 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 to 28 degrees. In parts of Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Shivhar, Samastipur in the north central part, the maximum temperature is expected to be 40 to 42 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to be 24 to 26 degrees. Similarly, in Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia and Katihar of North East Bihar, the maximum temperature is expected to be 38 to 40 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to be 22 to 24 degrees. In the south central part of Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad, the maximum temperature is expected to be 40 to 42 degrees while the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 to 28 degrees. In Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, Khagaria of South East Bihar, the maximum temperature is predicted to be 40 to 42 degrees while the minimum temperature is 24 to 26 degrees.
